A language model doesn’t know today’s yen rate.

Most trip planners ask it to invent the itinerary and the budget in one breath. Verlanto separates what can be counted from what can be told.

    It receives everything above and writes the day-by-day plan. Its output format has no numeric fields, and it can only name places verified on Wikipedia.

Why Verlanto

Frequently asked questions

Are the prices shown real prices?

Yes, whenever a source publishes them for your dates: flight fares read on Aviasales and Google Flights, nightly prices on Google Hotels. Every price carries its source and the time it was read, and you book with the seller, where the final price may change. When no source has a price for your dates, the line becomes a calculated estimate, and the report says so.

Is the weather really live?

Yes. Current conditions come from Open-Meteo, updated every fifteen minutes, with the next twelve hours. For your travel dates, Verlanto shows the forecast up to sixteen days ahead, and beyond that the average of the last five years of readings on the same dates — measurements, not a prediction.

Which AI does Verlanto use?

OpenAI’s GPT-OSS 120B, an open-source model served by Cloudflare Workers AI. A second model takes over if it fails; the one that wrote your itinerary is named at the bottom of the report, and the copilot tells you if you ask. The model calculates no amounts: the budget is calculated by code.

Are the entry requirements shown reliable?

They are indicative. Verlanto reads them from a maintained public dataset, for your passport among 199 nationalities, but they also depend on the purpose of your trip, its length and sometimes the transit country. The official advice from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, linked in every report, is the only authoritative source.

Can I find halal, kosher, vegan or vegetarian restaurants?

Yes. Every trip includes lists of halal, kosher and vegan restaurants at the destination, read from Google Maps with ratings, reviews, photos and price ranges, which you can sort from cheapest to most expensive. Choose “Halal”, “Kosher”, “Vegan” or “Vegetarian” in the form: those places come first in the report, and the itinerary never suggests a meal that would not suit you. These are places that describe themselves as such, or that Google lists as such: Verlanto does not verify certification. A complete Umrah guide is also available in the shop.

Can I limit layover times?

Yes. Choose “Non-stop”, or layovers of at most 1, 2, 3, 4 or 6 hours. The budget then uses the cheapest flight that meets your limit, and each flight shows the length and airport of its layovers. These times are published by Google Flights; Aviasales does not publish them, so its flights with stops are not used when a limit is set. If no flight meets it, the report says so.

What’s in the shop guides?

One PDF per destination: city overview, climate, must-see places, transport, restaurants and public holidays, gathered from the same sources as the reports. One-off payment, instant download, and the guide stays available from your account.

Can I cancel the Pro plan?

Yes, anytime, from your dashboard through the Stripe billing portal. The subscription stops at the end of the period already paid, at no cost.

Are my trips private?

Yes. Every table is protected by an access policy at database level: a query for someone else’s trip returns nothing. You can share a trip with a signed link and revoke it whenever you like.

What happens if a source doesn’t respond?

The data is missing, and the report says so. Verlanto never shows a substitute value in place of a number it couldn’t read.
